Group 1 Day 3

The third day was the most enjoyable day. Today we woke up earlier than usual, and went to school early. We woke up at 5 in the morning then took a shower and got ready for breakfast. Then after that, we waited for all of our friends to have breakfast together. After waiting about 15 minutes, we went down to the 4th floor for breakfast. There was pasta, chicken porridge, bread, eggs, potato wedges. and for dessert there were oranges and apples and cake. After finished breakfast, we left at 7 to school by bus. It turns out we were late and we had to run to school. Then we met our buddy.

After finishing our breakfast we head directly to Dunman High School. Every Tuesday there is an assemble that is located in the theater hall. Assembly this morning talks about organ transplants and it was very interesting for us. There are lots of new information that we gain today. After the assembly, we started the lesson of the day. We separated with our own buddies. The lesson was quite challenging but luckily we have our buddies to help us out.

We then went to NEWater, where 1/3 of Singapores water supply is being recycled back, ready to be used. Even from the entrance, we saw a huge pool on the right side. When the tour guide begins the tour, we went inside the mini auditorium, where we watched about Singapores water supplies. We then went onto the next room, where there was gadgets, games, and other cool stuffs. The room also contained useful facts about water usages. After that, we went into the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System, where we explored how Singapore recycles their water. The steps are called microfiltering, reverse osmosis, and UV disinfection. This made sure Singapores recycled water stays clean and hygiened at all times.

The first thing we did as we all arrived in Jewel, we went to Irvin’s. In that place, we got introduced to the history of Irvin’s that started out as a seafood restaurant. There we all got to sample almost every product of theirs , and after that we all bought some Irvin’s because it tasted good.

Then, we went to the fountain and took lots and lots of photos. The fountain was very big and tall with lots and lots of stores beside it. After that, we had our free time to buy stuffs that we want and went back to the bus. It was very beautiful, very fun, and very memorable.

Our final destination was Swing Swee Kee restaurant. In this restaurant, we ate lots of delicious foods! There were hainan rice with koloke, stir fried pork, tofu, cabbage, and lettuce, stramed and roasted chicken. We really enjoyed those foods. Thanks to our teachers and tour guide who chose this restaurant for us to eat.

There’s one destination that we can describe as our “highlight of the day”. It was when we went to Jewel in Changi Airport. The waterfall was indescribably beautiful. This day was a really wonderful day. We are looking forward for tomorrow’s activities might excite us tomorrow!
