SMA Group 3 – Day 6
See you Again
#6 Journal, 7th April 2023
This is it. The last day. Today, we put an end to our journey in Singapore and went back to Indonesia. Today was one big rollercoaster of emotions, and different from the other days, we will end our day in the safety of our own home.
Because today is our last day, we woke up a bit late. After we woke up, we went straight to pack our things and cleaned ourselves before having breakfast. There was still some time left before check out, so we gathered at Rara and Sharon’s room to enjoy our last time together. We talked, laughed, and shared stories for the last time as group 3. Time flew so fast, it was time for us to go down and checked out. We finally got on the bus at around 9.
Instead going to school, because today is a public holiday, Good Friday, we went to Science Centre Singapore. We thought it was going to be boring because the place is all about science, but it turned out really fun. We had so much fun, the educational that they provide is packed in a fun way. They gave us a paper like some taks and information, if we can finish our tasks (to find the secret password) we will get a keychain. So while we were walking and exploring the place, we also try to find the secret password. It was so fun!! We succeded to find the secret password and we got the keychain. But we think that the given time limit wasn’t enough for that enormous place.
In the afternoon, it was our last meal together. We ate at Korean All You Can Eat. It was an amazing meal, we all ate a lot until our stomach are all full. We ate korean barbecues, fried rice, noodles, and ice creams. Since it is our last meal together, we were so happy but also sad. After having lunch, we were given 20 minutes to walk around Marina Square. But, we did not buy anything because we were really full. Then we directly went to changi airport.
We got down the bus and gathered after we got our baggages. Then, the teachers gave all of us our passports so we can check in. After we check in, all of us walked to B1 gate and waited for 1.5 hours. A majority of us explored the airport in that long time, and some of us even continued shopping. At around 18:00, we gathered in front of the gate and proceeded to go inside so we could board the plane.
We arrived at exactly 21:37, and its time to get off the plane. We first took care of our luggages, which took more than 1 hour. Afterwards, it was time to say our goodbyes to our groups and friends. It was a sad moment for all of us as we have bonded a lot during these 5 days of PEP. Some got emotional and some had bitter feelings.
Then, all of us parted ways and hoped to see each other again.
The highlights of this program is, well, all of them. From the school, the malls and the recreational centers, to the time we gather to work on our journal at night. Every single second of this journey has been amazing, educative, fun, and sometimes, chaotic. There are no words that can describe how happy all of us were when we attend this program, and we are proud to be a part of this program from the start to end.
But if we were to highlight the one single thing that really made this journey unforgettable, it would be the time that we gather to work on our journal. This was the time that we could talk freely to each other, not only about the journals, but to tighten our bonds, to share, to joke around, and to make memories we would cherish for the rest of our lives. The time we spent with our friends here was well worth all of the time, effort, and money that we have to sacrifice to join this program. And if we were to go through all of that again, we gladly will.
Group three, peace out.
