In the morning we all woke up and had breakfast as usual. But the unsual thing was, we woke up later and we didn’t go to Dunman Highschool today. Things we did were packing and checking out of the hotel. Before checkingbout we had a brief meeting to discuss and prepare for the things that we were gonna do today.
We explored the science center for around 1.5 hours. At this place, we could learn a lot about science, such as solutions, human physiology and morphology, and other things. There were also some activities that we could try and play. We learned a lot about science experiments and the human body systems. However, we couldn’t stay for a long time because we had to go for our lunch.
After we explored from the science center, we headed for our last lunch at this PEP program. We ate our lunch all you can eat. The name of the restaurant is Seoul Garden. We could take as much food as we like, but we have to finish it all. The food was delicious and everyone from primary to senior liked it. From Seoul Garden, we headed to Changi Airport to prepare to return to Surabaya.
Time to say goodbye ?
we’ve arrived at changi airport to went back to indonesia. We gathered and went passed the immigration. We also took some pictures with our tour guides. After passed the immigration line the teacher gave us around 1 hour 30 minutes to explore the changi airport. At 6.30 we gathered at terminal 3 and at around 7pm we got into the airplane. At the airplane they gave us 2 option of set menu which is chicken rice and black pepper beef with noodles. After a while we finally arrived at surabaya, our home. For the past 4 days we had such a great and wonderful experience. In the end we had a mini farewell with each other and went home.

Five days we’ve been in Singapore and four days we’ve been exchange students. Today was our last day here in Dunman High school. We all woke up, had breakfast and arrived there. We all did our own class schedules too. Some of us went and had PE for the first time. We played volleyball and thought that the teacher was really nice and helpful. After we finished more classes, we came to our day’s conclusion.

At the end of the day, we all had a lot of fun taking lots of pictures and saying goodbye to our Dunman buddies. We all had exchanged gifts that we had prepared before. Some of us got heart warming letters and some of us cried. We had an amazing experience in Dunman Highschool and we will surely miss our classmates and friends that we’ve made.

After we left Dunman, we headed for the LTA or Land Transport Authority. We learnt many things there. We studied the transportation system in this developed country, namely (Singapore). We learnt the mechanics of getting on the bus. We also learnt how to use the MRT. Not only that, we also played several games there. There were VR/Virtual Reality, Quiz games, and many more. Then we headed to Plaza Singapura

We arrived at Plaza Singapura for shopping before we got our dinner. Basically in Plaza Singapura the tour guide gave us around 1 hour to look around and shop, after 1 hour passed we returned to the meeting point where the tour guide had told us before. After that we walked together to get our dinner at a chinese restaurant. Done eating, we went back to our bus and returned to our hotel.

Today was a really nice and short day, full of happy tears and also laugher, very heartwarming goodbyes too. It’s been five days here and we can’t wait what memories our last day brings.

Today we woke up a little late from the morning call, because yesterday we were too excited about exploring Changi so we were exhausted. However, all this did not reduce our enthusiasm for today’s activities. Today’s breakfast menu was pretty good. There were soups and others. After breakfast we did briefing and headed to Dunman High School. Today’s weather was rainy, so we had to use our umbrellas. Learning at Dunman was fun. We mostly took lecture classes as well as analyzed and learnt how to make research. And we got a lot of new knowledge. Ivan and Juan were invited by the buddies to travel around the world during recess. We visited Dunman’s library. The library is very large and magnificent. There are all kinds of books, from textbooks to comic books. There is also a special room for studying together. There were also Dunman students studying there. One thing that interesting, there is also a computer where Dunman students cam use to do their assignments and print their assignments. At 2.15 pm, we left dunman and went to Oo La Lab. We arrived at Oo La Lab to make and observe our own perfume.When we arrived at the lab, we saw a lot of small labelled bottles, after a while the teacher told us to smell all of the fragrance there, and picked the one that we liked. They gave us around 15 minutes to choose what fragrance that we liked and fill the form that they had been prepared for us. In the form they also told us to measure the ratio of the fragrance that we’re gonna put to make the best fragrance. After choosing the fragrance that we liked, they gave us small bottles for samples and tested whether the ratio was good or not.

After the process of choosing our separate fragrances wass done, we then put them into a larger bottle. Since we had used 11 drops, then we converted each drop into millilitres. So each person had 11ml worth of fragrance. We all put the fragrances into our respective bottles and finished it by putting on the sprayer and the cap.

The lady then asked us to gather because we had a mini quiz and the winner could win the prize. She asked the first question and Brandon got it right. He got this green tea scented candle. The next few winners were junior high students. After that we all went back to the bus and on the way out the lady gave us the box of our perfume bottles. After we attended a workshop at Oo La Lab, we went to Harbour Front for dinner. We had Bak Kut Teh, which was a delicious dish. Most of us were joking and telling stories to each other. After we finished eating, we had some time to move around the mall, which was about an hour. We used this time for shopping and bought souvenirs like popcorn, chocolate, jerked meat, and others. All of us were happy and didn’t feel that time was passing quickly. Finally, we returned to the meeting point, and after everyone finished, we went back to the hotel. It was a beautiful and wonderful day, and we hope tomorrow will be a great day.

We all got up at 6.00 am as usual, preparinh for the day and going down to get breakfast. We wore orange today and it reminded us of a shopping app, which was an occuring joke throughout the day. Another thing about today was that we had to eat fast because the bus left at 7.20. The early bus was due to our schedule. Today we arrived just on time for our class at Dunman High school and waited for our buddies to get us, then we went to our separate classes.

We started our school day with the assembly, that were lead by our homeroom teachers. We talked about mental health, mental illness and awareness. We all were given topics and questions and were divided into groups. Each group had the chance to present their answers and discuss it with the whole class. Presentation done, we finished our assembly with a brief summary of what we’ve discussed. It was really insightful✨

After that we went to the next lessons, we all had different lessons that day and different break times. At break time we all ate at the canteen with our respective classmates. Then continued with our lessons again. At 13.30, all of us went back to the lobby and went to our next destination of the day, New Water Visitor Centre.

NEW WATER CENTRE??

After school, we visited the NEWater Visitor Centre where we learned a lot about water conditions in Singapore and how Singapore solves its water problems. Singapore is a small country and has limited access to water sources, so they must process water to filter used water to make it clean. If they don’t do that, they will have to import more water from Malaysia.

During our visit, we learned about various water processing techniques, such as microfiltration, reverse osmosis, UV disinfection, and the quality control process. We were impressed that Singapore, a big country known for its economy and other things, is very concerned about its water problems and has an excellent water management system that allows them to reuse used water to create new water for various purposes.

However, we did not enjoy some aspects of the visit as the place was a bit full of other primary students

SHOPPING TIME!!?️✨

We arrived at jewel changi airport. All of us were excited to shop and spend our money. But, before we got our free time, we went to the Irvins outlet. There, they showed us the history of Irvins, how they managed the quality of their product, and also a brief introduction about their brand. Next which was our favorite time “Taster time✨” they gave us samplers of all of their Irvins variants. It tasted delicious, so all of us went crazy on buying those Irvins.

After we finished shopping we went to the indoor waterfall. We took some group and some individual photos there. After taking some photos they gave us free time to explore the Jewel Changi Airport. Finally, the awaited moment which is our “Shopping time!” some of us bought some snacks, some bought shoes, and some of us didn’t buy anything because the price was too expensive (us included)?. Done shopping, we gathered and went back to our bus.

DAY’S CONCLUSION✨

After visiting and shopping at Jewel, we headed to our dinner place named Sing Swe Kee and had chinese food for dinner. Tonight’s menu includes beef, chicken and Hainanese bean sprouts, tofu, and more. The food menu was delicious and we could enjoy our time together with teachers and friends. After that, we returned to the hotel to prepare for tomorrow’s activities.

Today’s activities were full of fun and togetherness. We felt like today was tiring but it was worth because the excitement covered it all. Can’t wait for the upcoming days! ?

This morning, we woke up at 6:00 a.m. and took showers. We prepared for our school day and then moved to the breakfast lounge to have breakfast. After we had all finished, we went to school. When we arrived at school, we were greeted by our buddies and some teachers from Dunman High School. We went to their auditorium for a short introduction and photo session. After it was all done, we moved to our own class to attend the lessons. We studied English, economics, chemistry, geography, and mathematics. For some lessons, we had to move around to change classes, but overall, that day at school was wonderful because we could learn in a new situation with different teaching methods. Some of our classes were held in the auditorium, and it was like a lecture. I think the tutoring was more detailed and clear for us, and we could understand more quickly than in Indonesia.

We were at Dunman High School until 2:15 p.m. After that, we went to the bus to go to Gardens By the Bay. The trip from Dunman High School to Gardens By The Bay took half an hour, and it was still raining.

When we arrived at Gardens By the Bay, it was slightly raining. We took a group picture in front of the gate. After that, we went inside, and the tour guide told us that we would be exploring two places: the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.

They gave us around 30 minutes to explore the Flower Dome. We were lucky because it was the Sakura blooming season, so we got to see Sakura without going to Japan haha. We took a lot of group and individual photos, and we also learned many things about flowers.

“Meeting Avatar: Cloud Forest”
After 30 minutes of exploring the Flower Dome, we moved to our second destination, the Cloud Forest. There was a huge waterfall when we came in. We had to queue for a long time because some people kept cutting the line, which was so annoying 🙁 After taking some individual and group photos, we continued our journey. There were many Avatar statues, and it was so beautiful and amazing! There were so many spots to take pictures, and there was also a gift shop where we could buy souvenirs. Some of us also bought Shake Shack before we came back to the bus.

This morning, we arrived at Juanda International Airport at 5:30. After that, we all got our own passports which were shared by our teacher. We then proceeded to the check-in counter to check in our baggage. After we were done, we moved to the immigration area. Once we finished the immigration process, we waited for our flight at the gate. At 6:40, we were called for boarding the plane that would take us to Singapore. After a flight of around 2 hours, we finally arrived in Singapore. Upon arrival, we disembarked and had time for a toilet break. After we were all done, we proceeded to the immigration area. Once we finished the process at both the automatic immigration gate and the manual gate, we claimed our baggage and moved to the arrival area.

After arriving at the airport, we went to a restaurant called Qian Xi for lunch. The menu featured a variety of dishes, including seaweed soup, shrimp, black pepper chicken, soy sauce chicken, and tofu. Additionally, we enjoyed a refreshing Chinese iced tea drink. After we finished our lunch. We then got into the bus again and had a city tour with our tour guide. On the bus ride she told us about the history of Singapore. The things that were prominent was that Singapore was before named Singapura when it hadn’t been colonised by the british. Because of the British ruling, the name changed to better fit the western tongue. Another information that stood out from the story our tour guide gave was that Sir Stamford Raffles was the father of modern Singapore and that he had held great importance in the building of Singapore.

We got off the bus and we started the city tour. When we’re out of the bus the first thing we noticed was the weather. We were told before that it was going to rain and we even had to prepare our raincoats while we were at the airport. To our surprise, it was incredibly hot and sunny. Wonderful for the pictures, not so much for our skin. We were all burnt under the burning hot sun. What made it worse was that most of us didn’t put on sunscreen before. So we may be getting a bit of a tan by the end of this trip.

The tour guide lead us to many buildings and sites. The first few was the city hall, victoria theater and concert hall, the arts house at the old parliament, Asian civilians museum and big tall skycrapers, many of them in fact. Explainations of each building were given while we pass them and took many, many pictures of them. An interesting part was this park that had big reflective balls. Many people were laying atound the park and taking pictures near the the mirrored spheres.

After the brief sight seeing and picture taking, we were then lead to the singapore river. We took more pictures there too. Then finally, we arrive at the Merlion statue. We took more pictures there, a whole lot, too many pictures I think. We then got back to the bus and head to Chinatown.

Getting off the bus, we started our walk to chinatown. In Chiantown we all seperated to our own groups and start exploring the place together. Us four and Miss Harianti first went up a building to look at food. A funny thing that happened was that, when we tried to find the exit, we accidentally went to a place where people cut fish, the smell kinda shocked us.

The rest of our time there was spent shopping for our friends and family, we bought keychains and Merlion shaped chocolates. We all thought that they were really overpriced though.

We were all exhausted and tired, and good timing. It was our dinner time and we had Vietnamese food for our dinner. The tom yum soup was extremely delicious and we had a great time there. After getting our belly full we moved back to our hotel. After waiting for a while the teacher finally assigned our rooms and we went to our room to take a shower and wrote our report.

It was an extremely fun and exhausting day but we were all happy and had a great time, we can’t wait to see how our first day at school will be tomorrow.
