Today was the last day in Singapore. It was so exciting because we didn’t need to wake up early. We woke up at about 7 a.m, had showered.  Around 8 a.m we got breakfast at the restaurant on the 4th fourth floor. The restaurant served many kinds of food, drinks and fruits. After breakfast, we continued packing our things in the luggage and checked everything before leaving. At 10 a.m we were ready in the lobby and went to the science centre by bus.

In Science Centre, We  had so much fun! We saw amazing optical illusions and unique places, such as mirror maze, lazer maze, and others! The mirror maze was very confusing, but we could finish it! Next we went to the Electric City! The Electric City was huge! We walked around and saw so many electric experiments, there was even a funny dancing magnet! Next, we found the map and decided to go to hall B where there were so many fun places like Climate, Know Your Poo, even Phobias! Eventough it was weird or scary, we had so much fun together. In Know Your Poo, we saw how poo were processed, and in phobias, there were types of phobias like going to haunted houses and roller coasters. So interesting! After we came out from the Know Your Poo and the Phobia place we saw an Experiment in the Electric City. Their experiment involved lightning electricity. They told us about how lightning was studied and how we had it in our houses until now. Here the show was so fascinated. Many of us were thrilled seeing the cool show! Then, We went to souvenir shop, however, we only had limited time to shop. Then we went to the bus and continued for lunch.
At 12.45, we arrived at Seoul Garden for lunch. It was at Tampines Central 5. The restaurant prepared an All You Can Eat Korean Food. In this place, we could eat whatever we wanted until we’re full. The food were really yummy and delicious. We all really enjoyed it. After that we went to the bus and went to the airport.

We departed by Garuda plane, GIA number 855 around 7.15 p.m and arrived at Juanda airport at 9 p.m. At the plane we had dinner. There were 2 choices of food, they are curry rice and black peper beef bihun vermicelli. For drinks, we have mineral water, tea, juice, coffee. The announcement said that the weather wasn’t so good, we should fasten the seatbelt. Thanks God, at 9 p.m we could arrive. However, it took so long in taking our luggages. Meanwhile, Our parents had been waiting for us. At last, We could get our luggages and directly went back to our homes. We were so exhausted but we were so happy to follow the entire activities.

We wish that someday, we can be together and have some fun.

Today was the end of our studying at Pei Hwa school. We couldn’t stand to meet our buddies. We directly woke up, got dressed and went downstairs to the lobby. After we had some briefings, we went into the bus and continued to school.

At school, we went to the hall. Teacher started the school day by singing Singapore anthem, the pledge, and Pei Hwa Hymn. In this hall, we had morning devotion about good Friday led by religion teacher. There was a little game too. Jordan, Jesslyn and their buddies played rock, paper and scissors, Jordan made into the final round but he lost with Jesslyn’s buddy, however, in the end, the kids on the stage were given gifts.

After morning devotion, we performed the songs “Surabaya Oh Surabaya, Rek Ayo Rek” with the dancers: Cecilia, Jesslyn, Kezia, Chloe, Celine, in front of the Primary students and teachers. The audiences gave a big applause for us. We’re actually very nervous but we could manage it and did our performance well. After performance, Ms Adriana, Ms Jeane, Ms Yenny and Mr Jo were given souvenirs. They were given four Chinese art bamboos decoration. The designs were: fish, panda, lotus and sakura. After recess time,  we gathered at Hossanna room. We made farewell activities. Collin as the representative from Petra students went in front and did the farewell speech. We exchanged the souvenirs, opened and took photos. On the other hand, Pei Hwa principal, vice principal and Coordinator of PEP got the souvenirs from PETRA too. Frankly speaking, We were pretty sad because we had to get separated with our buddies, left the school. Anyway, although the school was over but our friendship was still everlasting.

Next trip was going to the neighborhood of Bukit Timah. Mr Jimmy, the tour guide told us that there were houses made by Singapore ‘s Government, which were called Kampoeng Spirit. We were amazed by how the Singaporeans care each other. Next, we went to the playground. There were  swings, slides, and many interesting places! We also went along the Food Centre, which was just like the traditional markets we find in Indonesia, and the foods were yummy and hygienic.
Then, we continued the trip to Singapore ‘s Mobility  Service. There, we had some time to play, watch video about the transportation in Singapore, read some books about it, etc. We had so much fun playing together.

Then we went dinner at Simply Peranakan restaurant in Plaza Singapura. We ate fried chicken, vegetables, meatball, soup, and some apples for dessert. All food were very yummy and healthy. The apples were small but sweet. We really enjoyed eating there.

Then we went back to the hotel and did our reports. After that, Ms Adriana told us to reflect ourselves about the good things we had learned during 5 days in Singapore/ Pei Hwa, the bad things that sometimes made others get hurt and the commitment for becoming better and better persons.

Finally, we, Petra friends and teachers, hug each other and said thank you for supporting in sadness and happiness during few days. Suddenly, tears fell down from most of us when we said good bye. We felt like time has gone so fast.

We wish tomorrow we could meet again and play more before going back home.

Today was the friendship day in Pei Hwa. We gathered at the hall and joined the activities. The teachers at Pei Hwa wore traditional clothes so do Petra teachers and students.
Michelle, Sharon and Jordan went on the stage and presented about their traditional costumes, namely: ulos, lurik, and kebaya
After that, there was drama performance played by 2 Pei Hwa teachers. The story taught us about good things in friendship. The teachers acted so well and funny. They also called volunteers to join drama.
After it was over, we had our breakfast in the cafetaria and joined classes with our buddies. Next, we went again into the hall to prepare our performance in singing and dancing for tomorrow. We wanted to make sure that everything will be ready for tomorrow.

Then, we had recess time, we could choose various food in some stalls. the food were very yummy!
Then, we went to art class on the third floor. The teacher was really nice! She taught us about the flowers and their meanings. She also taught us how to paint flowers using brushes on the small round traditional bamboo. Some of us were struggling but some of us, like Collin, Evan, Chloe did very well. However, time was very limited until we couldn’t finish it. Teacher told us to continue it at home and we brought it. Before it was over, We took pictures and went back to our class. At 1.30 p.m the school finished and we said goodbye to our friends and teachers.

The journey after school was in S.E.A Aquarium. We were very excited!
We saw many kinds of beautiful fish, they were so cute. We were escorted to a place where there were super duper cute dolphins. The trainers fed and played with them! We were very happy although our pants got a little wet because dolphins splashed the water with their fins. After going out from the dolphin’s pool, we saw various fish and sharks from other areas. Everyone was so happy to see them. Finally, we entered the souvenir shop, there were toys, key chains, stationaries, dolls and so on. The price was rather expensive but some of us bought them.

Then, We walked out and saw some shops there, one of them was Candylicious. Many of us visited and bought sweets. Around 15 minutes later, we got into a monorail train and went to Vivo. There, we went dinner to a restaurant called Song Fa. It sells food called Bak Kut Teh. The taste was fantastic and amazing!
After that, we went sightseeing and visited some places, like popcorn shop, bread, smiggle, etc. We were tired but we were happy! Finally, We went into the bus and went back to the hotel. In the hotel, we got some briefings, made our journal, took a shower, and took a rest.

We think our favorite parts were when we went to see the dolphins and got the art lesson, they were so terrific!
For tomorrow, hopefully we can perform at the hall, in front of Pei Hwa audience well and we can have best moment in sharing the experience during studying at Pei Hwa school. Not to forget, giving souvenir to buddies.

Today was the 3rd day. We didn’t want to be late to school so we hurried up to dress up.

When everyone got ready, we all gathered at the lobby, prayed and went into the bus to Pei Hwa School.

In Pei Hwa school, we immediately went to the cafetaria to have breakfast. The breakfast was very delicious! We all enjoyed it very much  Then, we went to class with our buddies.

At 9 a.m, we learned the Chinese drum at Hosanna Room, taught by Mr Patrick and 3 Pei Hwa students. It was a little bit difficult because we should beat the sticks with the right rhythm to make harmonious and wonderful Chinese musical instrument. The trainer was so patient in teaching until all of us could play well. It was one of our favorite lessons during this day.

At recess time, we were free to choose some menus at the stalls. All food were really delicious. There, We must put the utensils back on the proper place after using them.

After school time, We went into the bus.

At the bus, Mr. Jimmy told us about NEWater and explained how Singapore’s tap water is about 99,99% clean and safe for drinking! We were so fascinated. However, he also told us that we should save water for better next generation. In the new water, there were games, fun facts, and many more! While going through the places, we were explained about the three steps to make water clean . We had to focus so we wouldn’t miss the information! Finally, we saw a video about how Singapore’s been producing clean water.

Next we continued the trip at Jewel. It is the world’  tallest indoor waterfall. We thought that it was so extraordinary. We had a photo session together and explored the places. We also went to Irvins and the employee explained about the company. Furthermore, we had some samples of snacks and noodle. They were super delicious! We filled up the form and decided to buy some snacks and noodle. After that we went to 7-eleven and bought some things at the supermarket.

Furthermore, We had dinner at Swi-Kee restaurant. We ate chicken, vegetables, fish and drank some tea. We made hilarious jokes at that time, we were so happy! After dinner, we all went back to the bus. At the bus, we practised Surabaya and Rek Ayo Rek songs, then continued singing children songs, like: Old Mac Donald, the wheels on the bus, baby shark, etc. Although we were tired but we enjoyed the togetherness. We kept singing until we didn’t realize it was already near the hotel! At the hotel, we gathered at the 13th floor, had some briefings and made a journal. At the end, we went to our room, took a bath and slept.

The amazing moments were when We practised the Chinese drum at school, went to Jewel and Irvin’s store to try and buy some snacks. We also loved the happy time along the way back to the hotel in the bus. We wish for tommorow we can do our friendship day well and also get closer to our buddies.

Today was our first day to meet our buddies at Pei Hwa school. We woke up early at around 5.00 AM, took a bath and got dressed  for school  Around 6 AM we went down to the lobby. We got our breakfast and pins. Then we went into the bus to school. According to us, the bus was fancy and beautiful!

After we all arrived at Pei Hwa School, we were welcomed by the teachers and students. The school was big and it has 6 floors. They also greeted us with a warm welcome. We came into the cafeteria and had our breakfast. We couldn’t eat all food because it has large portion and we were so full! After breakfast, we were introduced with our buddies. We went to our classes by the stairs. It was on the 6th floor so we were so tired! We attended our class and learned about the culture on friendship day. Then we entered Hossana room to see some Pei Hwa students played Chinese drum to greet us as guests, they played very well! Then, we had 10 minutes to introduce ourselves with our buddies. After that we had ice breaking which was catchphrase game. We were very confused to find the answers but the game was challenging! The winners got the jelly cube. Then we went into our class with our buddies. Jeva’s class was science, english, music, math. Cecil’s class was the same but without music lesson. Jordan’s class was math, science. Collin’s class was English, math, religion. Michelle’s class was English, math, science. It was tiring but really fun! We got wushu at the end of the lesson. The lesson was interesting because we haven’t got this lesson before. The teacher was so friendly and energic.

After school, we went to Garden by the Bay and cloud forest. The Garden was very cold almost 20° C.

They had a lot of wonderful and special plants and flowers. The tour guide gave us tickets to go inside the garden, we mustn’t lose the ticket because we only got 1 ticket. There, we took some photos and enjoyed the nature.

After we went to the Garden by The Bay, We went to a restaurant. The meal of the dinner was yummy. There were eggs, French fries, fish, chicken, fish meatballs, vegetables, and fruits. We really enjoyed it!  Finally, we went back to the hotel.

When we arrived at the hotel, we gathered on the 13th floor, made a journal for the day. Then, we went back to our room, took a bath and were ready to sleep.

We think the amazing things were going to Garden by The Bay, cloud forest and meet our buddies in Pei Hwa school. We hope tomorrow we can do better at school and learn more about NEW WATER.

Today, April 2nd was the day we were waiting for because we went to Singapore to join PEP.

This morning we gathered at soerabaya cafe in Juanda 2 terminal. There, we received our passport, name tag and souvenir. After we had some briefings, we prayed and then we said good bye to our family.

We went into some areas to check in. Before we entered the plane  we got into the bus. It was amazing, we were happy although some of us had to stand up because no more space to sit.

Plane departed at 7.16 and arrived at 9.22. At the plane, We had our delicious breakfast.

Later, we all landed and  we needed to do some checkings before exiting the airport. After that, we took our luggages and got into the bus.

The next trip, we visited the Merlion Statue, Mr. Eric told us the legend about it. The country’s name is called Singapore. In Indonesia, “Singa” Means lion, and “Pura” Means city. So it basically means Lion City. And for the Merlion, it is a tiger with the tail/feet of a fish. Because, Singapore used to be a fishing port.

Next we took a lot of pictures! We were happy, thirsty and tired at the same time. We went to 7-11 and bought some water. It was around 3 dollars,  some thought it was expensive but it was normal in Singapore.

After going to Merlion, we went to a restaurant to have lunch. We ate tofu,  chicken, vegetables, and shrimp. Some of us only ate a little bit but some of us ate a lot. We were really full but it was delicious!

After we had lunch, all the students went and arrived at China town. We were tired because it was hot outside. We went to some department stores to buy some souvenirs. Then Mr. Eric explained  us about some facts and history about China town. After that we took some photos at a 3d drawing on a wall. Then Mr. Eric sent us to go shopping for some souvenirs.

After we went to China town, we went to a restaurant called YEN NI. We ate some delicious food, like shrimp,  pork, chicken, vegetables, eggs, and some watermelon for dessert. We were so happy about it.

Later we went back to the bus and arrived to the RELC International Hotel. We got our luggages and went in. We were so happy about it! When we got into our rooms, we took a shower. We enjoyed the room and continued the journal in the other’s room. Suddenly, 2 of our groups forgot our room card and got locked out of our rooms. Some thought it was funny, some panicked too. But in the end, were helped by Mr. Jo and finally we were so relieved and so.

The best moment were when we got our rooms and food! The room was so spacious, comfortable and it had a balcony. We were very excited! And for the food, it was super delicious! We enjoyed it although some of us had allergies. The funniest part was when we got locked out.
